Focus

As some of you know, I have been working my butt off to slow Molly's lope. I found a couple of days ago, that Molly was tripping herself ALL THE TIME! This was weird because Molly is an extremely sure-footed horse. At first I was vary worried about her, "did I trim her hooves wrong?" "Is her arthritis bothering her hind legs too?".  Then I noticed that whenever she tripped she seemed to have been off in la-la land.

I was riding her the other day and I was like "hey what if I am the one off in la-la land" So I worked on focusing on what I was asking her to do, and she didn't trip once.
I think I  should  start to pay a little bit more attention.
Love,
Air Head

  1. Oh wow...I can totally relate! There are times where I get frustrated with my horse for doing (or not doing) something, only to realize that it's my problem, not hers :)
